As festival season approaches, lineups are announced and fans rush to their computers with one question in mind: “Three-day pass or single day ticket?”.
Well, this year’s Osheaga Festival lineup may cause many a Montrealer to indulge in a full weekend access. In fact, once again the lineup for what is arguably one of the most underrated festival in North America is amazing.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead, who are both expected to release new albums this year, will Lana Del Rey in headlining the 11th edition of the festival. Big shots, of course, but the other acts are just as amazing during live shows: Disclosure, Grimes, local heroes Half Moon Run, Mac Miller, Kurt Vile and Future are part of the other huge names set to give great performances.
But the great part about Osheaga is probably the fact that a huge spectre of genre is represented year after year, no discrimination. From rappers like Vince Staples and Jazz Cartier to pop sensations like Mø and Dragonette, everyone should be pleased. Of course, Jazz is often left out since Montreal has its own Jazz festival which also features pretty big acts.
Three-day passes are already on sale but should go quite fast. So get yours through the festival’s website, or just admire the crazy full lineup below, wishing you could attend:
