Great news for Tame Impala fans. The Australian band are expected to release a follow-up to 2012’s Lonerism. In an email to their subscribers, Spinning Top Music, which have played a big role in Australian bands’ promotion campaigns, have mentioned Tame Impala in their list of bands which are expected to release new records this year. We already know, thanks to keyboardist Jay Watson that this next album will be more electronic than the previous ones. However, the only person who has any other knowledge of the band’s new material is, obviously, the great Kevin Parker, who just collaborated with Mark Ronson on his new record. Tame Impala have been one of the driving forces in the Australian scene’s popularity rise over the last few years, and their offshoot, Pond are also about to put out a new opus, Man It Feels Like Space Again. Plenty to get excited about for any psychedelic music fan.
