5 BADBADNOTGOOD – III
Nobody can really match BBNG’s style to a certain genre. But if anyone had to try, this Canadian trio would probably be an “instrumental jazz/hip-hop” band. And they’re the best at what they do. A proof of that would be their latest LP, III, which earned them a nomination for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. This album is basically an exquisite orgy of instruments coming together in such harmony resulting in an inimitable musical experience.

4 Pink Floyd – The Endless River
Who saw this one coming? One of the greatest bands of all time making its comeback in 2014. Thanks to The Endless River, Pink Floyd conquered the whole world once again. This mainly instrumental 18-track tribute to Richard Wright is a true journey which will make anyone discover or re-discover The Pink Floyd Sound everyone missed so much. Of course, it is very far from the style which helped the band peak during the 70s, and one may argue that the band isn’t the same without the great Roger Waters, and that is why, perhaps, 4 is Pink Floyd’s lucky number…

3 Jack White – Lazaretto
“When I say nothing, I say everything”. There really isn’t much to say about Jack White’s Lazaretto except that it takes Rock N Roll to a whole new level. The riffs, the vocals, everything is exceptional on this record. From the sound to the vinyl version’s aesthetic appearance, creativity has a new name, and it’s Jack White.
Featured Track: “That Black Bat Licorice”
2 The War On Drugs – Lost In The Dream
A dream is indeed the ideal word to describe The War On Drugs’ latest album. Adam Granduciel’s genius has helped the band create an incredible record which leaves anyone in admiration and awe. A surreal sound transcending the rather pessimistic lyrics to higher level, giving the album an unmatched charm.

1 Hospitality – Trouble
And here, to top our list is Brooklyn’s Hospitality, with their mind-blowing sophomore record. An abnormally flawless album, sounding as if it has been recorded ten years from now. Soft vocals, extraordinarily mesmerizing synthesizers. Everything’s there, and everything’s perfect.
