Trevor Powers, better known as Youth Lagoon, has shared some updates regarding the long-awaited follow-up to Wondrous Bughouse. Savage Hills Ballroom (A Collection of 10 Songs By Youth Lagoon), is set to be put out on September 25th through Fat Possum. It’s been two years since Powers’ last opus, and it seems to have been worth the wait, based on the sound of the first track, “The Knower” (to which you can listen below).
Youth Lagoon has collaborated with Ali Chant, who happens to have produced PJ Harvey, and his sound has apparently evolved into this amazing, slightly more agressive arrangement, leaving behind the excess of dreaminess we heard on his previous albums.
