Week #8: Led Zeppelin – Physical Graffiti
This week marks the 40th anniversary of Physical Graffiti.
This massive, decade-defining records was released for the first time on February 24th 1975.
Since then, it has been played, covered and remastered countless times.
Led Zeppelin had, at the time, just recovered from a two-year break and came back in style with this incredible double-album. Now, as many plagiarism rumors about Led Zeppelin’s works have emerged during the last decades, partly due to the abnormally apparent influence that other artists may have had on their previous efforts, few can hit Physical Graffiti. This album is pure creativity and none of the tracks featured on this landmark has anything to do with what came before. It was a groundbreaking opus, setting new standards for future Rock albums and other albums from any genre.
