A masterpiece by what may have been the greatest band in the History of Music, this week’s featured album is Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This record was the eighth the band recorded in the famous Abbey Road Studio Two in London. This concept album revolves about the Beatles’ fictional alter egos, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club. The idea was presented to the members by bassist Paul McCartney in 1967, release year of this wonderful opus.
The album was widely critically acclaimed, which matched its instantaneous commercial success, right upon its release.
