Week #10: Oasis – (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?
To keep the 90’s vibe alive, following last week’s Midnight Marauders, our tenth album of the week is another of the decade’s most significant albums, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?.
Released on October 2nd 1995, this record is a milestone and a reference to all Brit Pop amateurs.
Behind this masterpiece, of course, the genius of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Although it wasn’t very well received by some critics who believed the lyrics were too banal and somewhat superficial, the follow-up to the band’s debut opus, Definitely Maybe, has evolved to become recognized as one of the defining albums to a whole generation, proving that sophomore albums can indeed be great.
